Building a relationship with your local MP
As yesterday’s Budget showed, politics at Westminster and beyond can have a big impact on our sector. Building a relationship with your local MP can be extremely beneficial to you and your organisation and can help to compliment SOLT / UK Theatre’s advocacy work at a national level.
Our most recent blog post explains the benefits of having a good relationship with your local elected representative(s) and some tips on how best to engage with Parliamentarians over the coming months. Members can access a draft letter from the Advocacy pages on the SOLT and UK Theatre websites and can also contact our Public Affairs team for advice and guidance on political engagement.
Safety for Women in Theatre – Guidance
In light of recent discussions around women’s safety and in recognition of the fact that many theatre workers are travelling at night in an unfamiliar area, SOLT and UK Theatre have produced a guidance note to signpost resources and information for both individuals and organisations. Download the guidance note.
