Media Briefing Notes
To reflect the easing of restrictions in Step 4, we have updated our Media Briefing Notes.

DCMS & AHRC Boundless Creativity Report
On Friday DCMS released the Boundless Creativity Report. The project has examined the role of innovation in shaping cultural experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and generated a new evidence base to inform the recovery, renewal and future growth of the UK’s cultural and creative sectors. The full report can be read here.

We will be working with DCMS to support the report’s nine recommendations form a post-pandemic pathway to recovery and sustainable growth for the cultural and creative sectors, particularly around supporting live performance and cementing the link between cultural access and well-being.

Opening Performances & Influencer Nights
Our team are still attending opening performances of shows that are returning #BackOnStage, last week we reshared our Hairspray Opening Night Vlog and Milly attended Come From Away. When attending your opening night we can cover on our social channels and on our website. Send your invitations to news@soltukt.co.uk.

In the next few weeks we will be holding 5 influencer nights. We’re so excited to be able to invite our long list of influencers to see your shows again, this is a great way to spread the word about your show to those who don’t normally visit the theatre. If you are selling on Official London Theatre email Jess for more information.

Reminder action: if your organisation has commissioned a play in the last 5 years, please complete this survey

The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain is surveying UK Theatre and ITC companies to find out how many plays were commissioned and how many plays were produced (both commissioned and non-commissioned), before and – in the case of commissions – during lockdown.

Please click on this link to activate the form. Deadline for submissions is 1 August 2021.
