Network Rail ActivationOn Wednesday we launched our Network Rail activity at Waterloo station. Between the hours of 4-6pm Wednesday to Friday and 1-3pm on Saturday and Sunday our West End cabaret team will be entertaining commuters and leisure travellers singing songs from the shows featured in our Show Time promotion. The public also have the chance to sing to win theatre tickets with musical theatre karaoke courtesy of Lucky Voice.We also have surprise appearances from the shows: Dirty Dancing performed yesterday and we had press and social teams down to capture the moment. We have had good engagement from the public and are handing out leaflets promoting the Show Time offer and the Performance by Rankin exhibition.

Olivier Awards Internship SchemeThe Olivier Awards Internship Scheme aims to give people from all backgrounds and areas of the UK a chance to gain valuable experience as part of the team delivering this year’s awards. There are 4 internship placements available, each in a different department and area of theatre work. The departments are:

  • Production
  • Stage Management
  • Lighting
  • Social Media and Marketing 

These will be paid positions for 1 week leading up to the awards ceremony.Applications will open at 10am on Monday 14 February 2022 and will be open for 2 weeks. Please pass on this information to anyone you think might be interested.

Olivier Awards TicketsThe Olivier awards ceremony will be on Sunday 10 April 2022 at the Royal Albert Hall.

SOLT members will be able to request tickets from early next week and will receive an email including all ticket options and prices. Non-members can purchase tickets if they book an advert in the brochure. We will share details with you early next week.

Reminder: Performance by Rankin exhibition
The Performance by Rankin exhibition at FUJIFILM House of Photography has been extended to 12th March. If you haven’t already, make sure to visit the exhibition this month which captures a once-in-a-lifetime portrait of a West End reborn, featuring 150 subjects from nearly 60 of London’s top productions and venues. 

Job Opportunities at Imagine Theatre
Imagine Theatre, the second biggest pantomime producers in the UK, are looking for three people in their marketing department – one Head of Marketing and two Marketing Managers – to support their expanding portfolio of pantomime production. Their head office is in Coventry, but some homeworking is possible, as detailed in the job descriptions on their website.
