The Society of London Theatre (SOLT) is an organisation that works with and on behalf of their Members to champion theatre and the performing arts.

Today, we relaunch the updated version of the 10 Principles for creating safe and inclusive working spaces, which aim to eradicate bullying, harassment and discrimination in the theatre industry. These principles have been approved by the SOLT and UK Theatre Boards and are supported by 21 other leading industry trade bodies, membership organisations, unions and members of AAPTLE.
We are encouraging all our members to adopt these principles, and to print and display the free downloadable A3 poster in your offices, rehearsal rooms and backstage areas.
Please find links to all the documents below:

Originally created in 2017 in response to the #MeToo movement as part of UK Theatre’s Safer and More Supportive Working Practices Handbook, the 10 Principles were designed to help employers meet their legal requirements and promote a shared responsibility for creating and maintaining a healthy working environment.
If you have any questions regarding the 10 Principles or any other workforce or workplace culture initiatives that are in place, please contact UK Theatre’s Workforce Projects Co-ordinator, Annie Waugh at annie@soltukt.co.uk.
