SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN

(scroll down to UPLOAD your picture)

Our industry is unique in that 72% of the workforce are freelance compared to 16% across the rest of the economy.

We urgently need to raise public awareness of the vital role freelancers play in the theatre industry and the crisis we are facing.

Freelancers have no representation, so we need to do the job ourselves to get our voice heard and make us visible.

But we can’t do this alone. We need the support of the general public, and so are launching a major social media campaign to raise the visibility of all the freelancers, essential to making theatre, that work behind the scenes, as well as onstage.

Help us show the world what a diverse community it takes to put on a show.

  • Take a picture of yourself holding a sign like this:

  • Post it to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag   #FreelancersMakeTheatreWork

  • Upload your image to our website (below) so we can use to further the Freelancers Make Theatre Work campaign.
  • Encourage your networks, colleagues and peers to join the campaign.  This is for everyone.
