TAX DEFERRAL
Who: Small Businesses and individuals in the self-employed sector
What: Income Tax deferral of July 2020 payments on account until 31 January 2021.
VAT deferral of VAT due before 30 June 2020 until 31 March 2021
Criteria: UK VAT registered businesses






UNIVERSAL CREDIT
Who: Those out of work or on a low income
What: Financial support limited by and dependent on your earnings
Criteria: Must be resident in the UK – over 18 but under the state pension age (or your partner is) – have under £16,000 in savings (both you and your partner)
Your partner’s income and savings will be taken into account, even if they are not eligible for Universal Credit. Must be interviewed by telephone or in person.






NEW STYLE JOB SEEKERS ALLOWANCE
Who: Those unemployed or working less than 16 hours per week (can be paid on its own or in combination with Universal Credit
What: Up to 182 days of financial support dependent on your earnings
Criteria: Must be resident in the UK – over 18 but under the state pension age (or your partner is) – have paid and/or been credited with enough National Insurance contributions in the 2 full tax years before the year you’re claiming in.
Your savings and capital (or your partner’s savings, capital and income) are not taken into account when claiming New Style JSA. However, your earnings and any payment you are getting from a pension can affect the amount you may receive.






STATUTORY SICK PAY
Who: Those unemployed or working less than 16 hours per week (can be paid on its own or in combination with Universal Credit

SMALL BUSINESS GRANT FUND
Who: Small and rural businesses that pay business rates and are not home office based.
What: Financial support with business costs during coronavirus.
Criteria: Small businesses in England which pay little or no business rates are entitled to a one-off cash grant of £10,000 from their local council.


NEWLY SELF-EMPLOYED HARDSHIP FUND
Who: Newly Self-Emplyed in Scotland
What: Financial Support
Criteria: Must have become self-employed on/after 6 April 2019 – Must earn 50% of you income from self-employment – Must have had trading profits below £50,000 in financial year 2019-20


OPEN FUND: SUSTAINING CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT
Who: Freelance and self-employed artists and creative practitioners in Scotland
What: Funding available for between £1k and £50k from a fund fo £7.5m
Criteria: Open all year round, with no deadlines and can support activity for up to 12 months. It is for projects supporting the development of practice. May apply for funding to work with others if your practice is collaborative. Must have a UK bank account.
