Take Part In Future Labs

The applications for the third round of Future Labs are now CLOSED

Thank you for expressing an interest in engaging with the Future Labs, either as a participant or just as a member of the freelance community.

Each panel will be formed of up to 12 participants, split equally between freelancers and representatives from organisations. In order to make sure that the full range of freelance voices are heard throughout these discussions, we are inviting individuals from across the industry to join the panels.

Participants will be selected by FMTW around the topic in question, ensuring that there are voices with experience in the room as well as individuals with an outside eye. Some individuals in the discussion will have been invited directly alongside those who have applied.

As a group FMTW is committed to representing the entire theatre industry. Across these conversations we want to ensure that participants are inclusive of gender, ethnicity, class, nationality and the LGBTQI+ and d/Deaf + disabled communities. These conversations impact all freelance roles and workers across Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales. It is essential that those who have not usually been heard in these conversations are included and we therefore invite responses from all individuals.

Each participant will be paid £200 to take part in a Future Lab.

If you would like any more information prior to applying you can check out the FAQs or get in touch with us at hello@freelancersmaketheatrework.com, where you can also contribute suggestions, comments, questions, or any other feedback.

Throughout the series we will be encouraging engagement with all the discussed topics from across the freelance workforce.

Please let us know if you have any access requirements for participating in a remote video and audio discussion with up to 12 other individuals. If you would prefer to submit a video application, please send it to hello@freelancersmaketheatrework.com.

The deadline for applications is 10:00 Monday 9th November and we will respond to all applicants.
