Institutional Transformation: Possibilities for Growth and Change in the Post-Pandemic Theatre Industry
The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama’s Centre for Research Impact in the Performing Arts invites you to this all-day event at the Royal Court Theatre on Friday 11th October to mark our new policy report on institutional change in theatre production. Working in consultation with theatres, theatre-makers and producers this commission aims to try and better understand how the theatre sector might change for the better and what the challenges for and practical steps towards implementing change may be for organisations across the UK.
The event will launch the report and 3 best practice documents commissioned by Central. All of these documents will be available on the Central website in October. It will consist of 5 panels with a fantastic line-up of speakers who will discuss the structure of the theatre industry, employment, EDI and representation and the development of new work and artists. The event will also include a ‘flash talks’ session where people will speak for 5 minutes each on their urgent topic of choice relating to the industry.

This event will be in-person and free to attend. Lunch and refreshments will be provided at 1.00pm. Although we won’t have the facilities to livestream it, it will be recorded and available afterwards.
Please note this event is being held at the Royal Court Theatre.
